SpaceForce!

"Hello Internet", one of the few podcasts I listen to, was discussing the new SpaceForce Logo, tearing it apart really. For quite some time I've wanted to capture the crisp harshness that is space lighting - and for this post, the first in a long time, I wanted to create a fighter for the SpaceForce. This one is a swept-delta wing hypersonic turbine / rocket driven airframe. The "waist" is there to ease pressures on the fuselage, this is pretty common on experimental high speed craft. Lighting (and coloration) was inspired by the Shuttle- this white coating makes for the highest contrast. Tons more inputs on this from other existing air and spacecraft.

"Winnie" Female Android Portrait

Chantelle Winnie's legacy is larger than I've been able to measure; within hours of seeing her for the first time, I had to re-interpret her as a Gunmetal and Pearl Pink android.  Her vitiligo is possibly the most symmetrical case that's widely known, and made the transition to fembot that much easier; with highlights around her mouth and eyes- the natural viewing cycle of facial features.  In addition to her incredible facial structure, her spots take "unmistakable" to a new level.

Lowest Lagondas

After seeing the delivery photos of the 2015 Aston Martin Lagondas to their new home in Oman, I had a relapse into my love for the original, and decided I had to see what that would look like Stanced on some BBS wheels, a la BMW E30.  I threw in one on a slammed stock wheel/tire setup as well, for obvious reasons.
I mean, look at it!

 Step up, Lagonda owners!

March of Robots entry: Supermodel Fembot Lips

This is a piece that had to get onto paper as soon as it was envisioned.  I had originally thought of it in a metallic finish -even a flat grey- but the allure of red ultimately overcame that idea, and I needed it to easily convey the look of lips.  They are inspired by Emily DiDonato's.  I'm very satisfied with the upper lip, but referencing the outward folds in the lip flesh didn't allow for such a complicated pattern on the bottom lip- so they turned out more square.  The original sketch (after the jump, cat fur strand in-tact) took about 40 mins and the paint-over took about 3 hours.

CORD 8100 Lev Sedan

A day off before Christmas gave me the sweet few hours I needed to hone in on some details that would resolve a Cord concept I sketched up a few months ago.  I'm really happy with the proportion of this one- it's more successful than the Bugatti, which ended up looking too narrow overall.  This one has clearly exaggerated pylons and motivators, giving it a much more fantastic, futuristic feel. Also, putting this lev car in an environment allowed for more complete, interesting and challenging reflections.

Additional sketch page with front grill sketches after the jump.

No Room for Error

Featured on Jalopnik & StangTV

Here's a response rendering to the images that went viral today showing what is claimed to be data screenshots of the 2015 Mustang.  As followers of this blog know, this car has been my most anticipated upcoming release for the last two years.  The renderings posted on MustangG6 left much to be desired in the Musclular department, often being compared to a previous gen Accord coupe.  That's not to be taken lightly.  Although my rendering is based on a 2013 Shelby Super snake, I believe it to accurately capture the character of the Anniversary Mustang.  Many of the details such as the grill dividers are visible in the spy-photos and are not my creation.

Follow the jump to see one of the spy photos this is based on.

Colors of Summer

Summer is here once again, so here's a fresh season opener for my dear readers.  Here to welcome you is the delightful Emily Didonato (same model as "Evil or Ecstasy").  The biggest challenge of this piece was showing the proper form and mixing the colors smoothly enough for her right biceps.  Although there are a number of colors across her arm, I feel like it would've been easier if I had a firm grasp on what the muscles beneath were doing.  At CCS I never had a proper anatomy class, so I've never done a good muscle study.  I think it's high time I try one.  Hit the jump for the line layout.
